Site Improvements - Part 2 - Gear Listings

First Image
My recent major overhaul of the site consisted of both visible changes and under the hood changes. Part 2 of the blog entry will cover one of the more visible changes: the addition of a Gear section to the sidebar. This will show the gear used to make a given recipe in addition to the grill(s). This relatively simple change was in response to various requests I’ve gotten over the years to identify a piece of grilling gear I used to make a particular recipe.

There really isn’t much more to it than that. The Gear section falls just below the Cookbook and Grill sections in the sidebar. If you are interested in learning more about a particular piece if gear, you can look for it in the Gear section on the site. (/Media/Gear/...). In some cases, in addition to gear used out at the grill, I have also listed some indoor gear used in the Kitchen. These are items that are either essential or greatly ease in the grill prep for a particular recipe.

These Gear listings use several abbreviations to help keep the length of that section manageable. I will list these abbreviations below:

BGE = Big Green Egg
CGS = Ceramic Grill Store
CGW = Ceramic Grillworks
KA = Kitchen Aid
SR = Steven Raichlen Best of BBQ
W-S = Williams-Sonoma
