The ingredients are gathered:Softened butter, minced garlic, oregano, parmesan cheese, mozzarella cheese pearls (balls), parsley, & kosher salt.
Everything but the cheeses are mixed in a small bowl to form a compound butter.
The finished compound butter.
I tried and experiment where I placed the bread, cut side down, on the half moon cast iron griddle grate. While it toasted up the cut side of the bread it also resulted in some of the compound butter sticking to the griddle.
The toasted garlic bread after coming off the griddle, waiting to receive the two cheeses. Next time I will slip this step and go straight to baking the garlic bread topped with the cheese.
The bread has been topped with both the parmesan cheese & mozzarella cheese pearls & is back on the grill where it is indirect grilled over foil at 350 degrees until the cheese melts.
It took about 12 minutes to melt the cheese. Here the bread is ready to come off the Egg.
This garlic & cheese bread was far tastier than the store bought frozen version solld in foil bags.
The bread paired very nicely with the Grilled Meatballs & Smokey Tomato Sauce I was having this day.

The reason this tasty recipe for garlic bread with cheese is in here vs. the Baking Section is that you use a store bought baguette. The garlic bread receives a tasty compound butter spread & is topped with parmesan cheese & mozzarella cheese pearls (balls) . The bread is indirect grilled to melt the cheese and crisp up the crust. This garlic bread is easy to make and far superior to the frozen garlic bread in a bag found at your local supermarket
