Homemade Hamburger Rolls
The ingredients are measured out & ready to mix. Many of the Kitchen gadgets I already own help here
The ingredients are combined in a stainless steel mixing bowl. That is a dough whisk being used to do the mixing
The dough after being kneaded-this can be done either by hand or with a mixer.
The dough proofs for an hour & rises to double the volume. The dough doubler pail has measurements to help gauge it
After proofing the dough is rolled out & then cut into discs to go in the baking pan
The hamburger roll pan is like a giant muffin pan. It is good for making kaiser rolls too
The dough disks are in the baking pan & have been brushed with an egg wash (egg whites) to help with browning
The egg wash also helps hold on some sesame seeds
After the dough has risen to double it’s volume again, it is time to go in the oven
The rolls are baked for around 20 minutes
The rolls are out of the oven where they will be removed from the pan and are allowed to cool
This is what it is all about: A great burger recipe, homemade buns toasted on the grill & homemade grill fries

Now homemade hamburger rolls aren’t made on the grill, but they do get finished there. Plus they are a great way to make your best hamburger recipe even better. I took a bread baking class with the express intention of learning to make my own hamburger and hotdog rolls. It is definitely hard to go back to store bought rolls after baking your own. The recipe is from King Arthur Flour’s website which is where the hamburger roll pan came from as well.
