Info
These burgers were a result of my discovery I could direct grill in the Winter. One of the things I missed the most in the Winter was a grilled burger. As I mentioned in my blog entry DIRECT GRILLING IN THE WINTER??? I was discovering it may be the grills I was using that kept me from being able to direct grill in the Winter. After 4 different experiments I decided to cut straight to the chase and go for a grilled burger. If I could do this it was going to be a big change in my Winter dining habits. It deserved the best. So I couldn’t just do any old burger. This recipe used a wide range of ingredients that made it taste like a meatloaf. You even topped it with ketchup when you cooked the last side. To go along with it I made some hamburger rolls from scratch and some HAND CUT FRENCH FRIES. I was able to grill the burgers in about the same time as I would have expected in the Summer which is quite exciting for me. The burgers are a keeper to they were moist and tasty and did have all the good qualities of meatloaf but in burger form.
