This tasty burger from the WICKED GOOD BURGERS cookbook is two evolutionary steps removed from a Reuben. The first step is that it is a Rachel Sandwich, which is the name for a Reuben made with Pastrami instead of corned beef. The second step is that a hamburger is added to the sandwich. This recipe added a couple other interesting twists to the mix. The RUSSIAN DRESSING repipe had more than the average number of ingredients, including spicy horseradish & hot pepper sauce. Also the sauerkraut gets grilled along with the other ingredients. This is one of the best "burgers" I've ever had with many bold flavors coming together to make a great sandwich. This is the perfect thing for when you can't make up your mind between deli & a good burger.
