was the source for this grilled ham steak recipe. It as one of the simpler recipes in the book, but turned out the best ham steak either my wife & I have had. It was a great way to finish 4 straight days of grilling over Memorial Day weekend 2011. When my wife came home and saw the ham steak ready to go out to the grill, I saw a disappointed look flash across her face. Ten minutes later she was telling me I had to make it again next weekend. the steak gets marinated in a sweet marinade for 8 hours. While the ham steak was in the fridge, I put a batch of BOSS HAWG'S BBQ BEANS
on the smoker to have with the ham steak. Some of the used marinade is boiled and used as a glaze on the grill. After grilling the steaks are seasoned with black pepper & flat leaf parsley. That is about as simple as it gets in Serious Barbecue, but it turned out an amazing ham steak. As you can see from the pictures, I got some killer grills marks - no doubt due to the high sugar content in the glaze/marinade. I can’t wait to make this recipe again.
