Despite the fact ham steak is my favorite meal, other than the Southwest Ham Steak recipe, I have never done anything but grill it as is. This week I changed that with this recipe from Weber’s Real Grilling
. The ham steak was marinated for 4 hours in a mix of tequila, fresh orange & lime juice, light brown sugar, cumin & jalapeno peppers. The marinade is boiled and reused as a glaze at the end. I made a recipe called HONEY-LIME SWEET POTATO
as a side dish and it was a perfect match. To cut to the chase, this was absolutely the best ham steak I have ever had. My wife who was unenthusiastic when she heard we were having ham steak was absolutely amazed when she bit into it. This recipe will be made again real soon and quite often around here.
