This recipe was based on a recipe on the Kraft Foods web site. Where that recipe just grilled the potatoes, I also grilled the red pepper & scallions. I also went my own way on the choice of cheese and salad dressing to top the cooked salad with. The day I made this I was also cooking a tri-tip (SICILLIAN HERB CRUSTED TRI-TIP
) which started out on direct medium heat and finished using indirect heat. Once the tri-tip was off the lit burners I added the grill pan and grilled the veggies for 25 minutes, shaking the pan every 5 minutes or so to redistribute the pieces. Once back inside I added some Italian dressing, shredded three cheese blend and some chopped fresh basil. The salad was nice and crisp and the spices were a perfect match for this tri-tip.
