This is the second time I have made a Guinness beef stew recipe, this one was found on the Big Green Egg website. The procedure was similar to other grilled stew recipes. The meat is browned first and then removed from the Dutch oven. Then the celery, onion & garlic are sauteed. The meat in added back in together with the liquids. This mixture is cooked for 45 minutes and then the potatoes, turnips and carrots are added back in and the stew is cooked for another hour. The resulting beef stew had great flavor and texture. Everything was cooked to perfection. The first recipe I made for BEEF & GUINNESS STEW
about a year ago made an excellent Guinness beef stew. I would have to say this recipe was different, but equally good. Make that excellent. I am looking forward to the leftovers, which should be even better.
