The BGE Nest is a rolling stand for the Egg. It has two locking castors to secure it in place
-
The Egg Shelves come in two materials Wood & a plastic resin
-
I was not happy with the resin material version. It picked up charcoal dust stains and they proved difficult to clean off. I was very surpassed about how easily it stained & how difficult to clean it was
-
The shelves fold out of the way when the Egg is not in use.
-
This is a Premium Nest Cover. It is a very well made full length cover for an Egg in the Nest. There is a draw string at the bottom to help secure it. The covers come in tow colors: Green & black.
-
When I started mounting my Eggs on furniture, I switched to a Premium Dome Cover. This black fabric cover has an elastic band at the bottom which secures the cover just below the handle & hinge bands.
-
I light my Eggs using paraffin fire starters. These squares burn for about 9 minutes once lit & serve to ignite the adjacent charcoal & get the fire started.
-
This is my first lighting of my Egg in August 2012. I am using a single fire starter. The other light colored object is a hickory wood chunk to be used to make smoke
-
This is the BGE Ash Tool which is used to clean out the ash drop area at the base of the Egg. When held vertically it doubles as a grid lifter for light weight grill grids such as the stock stainless steel grid
-
The Ash Removal Pan is custom designed for the Egg to clean out the ash drop area.
-
The Ash Drop Pans curved front edge with a turned down lip the fits the lower rail for the draft door The ash tool is extended into the ash drop area…
-
… & is pulled in & out and the hook on the end pulls out the ash.
-
The Kingsford Charcoal Kaddy allows you to store your charcoal outdoors & keep it dry. When you want to add charcoal to your grill you lift & lock the lid in the open position.
-
The main cover is removed for filling. The Charcoal Kaddy holds one bag of the Wicked Good lump that I use. On the right side you can see one of the handles which aid when you are pouring lump into the grill.
-
This definitely falls into a nice to have category. In September of 2012 I had a pressure treated wood grill gazebo built. I have been adding outdoor cabinets built for the BGE product line a few at a time
-
This grill gazebo affords me year round protection from the weather. The cabinets allow me to store many of my grill tools out by the grill instead of lugging them in and out every time I cook.
-
I also added lighting to the grill gazebo which give me far better lighting than a single girl mounted light. Besides the obvious night time use, they also help on dark cloudy days.
-
The American made barn lights I used were made by the Barn Light Electric Company in Florida. They look authentic because they are made using the molds & presses purchased from the original companies.
-
You can see that I have switched from using a rolling Nest & full length Premium Nest Cover to mounting the Eggs on custom base cabinets for the Large BGE and Premium Dome Covers.
-
The Pit Mitt BBQ glove is made of silicon coated aramid fibers. While you can’t use it at the highest of temperatures like Welder’s gloves but it is the most compact easy to use gloves I own.
-
Welders Gloves make handling hot Plate Setters safe as well as taking the hot Adjustable Rig on and off the grill possible.
